Insurance

Insurance billing is a little complicated and will always be based on your particular insurance or plan. To give some ballpark numbers:

Copay - usually a copay or coinsurance will be your responsibility. In most cases, this is $10 to $35 but I’ve seen as high as $75

Deductible - Some plans require you to pay full-fee until your deductible is met; these plans are often expensive at the beginning but much less so after the deductible is met

Private Pay

Individual Counseling $150 (55 minutes)

Do you take insurance?

The only insurance I accept is BlueCross BlueShield (BCBS). If you have an out-of-state or BCBS associated insurance, I can often accept it and am happy to check for you.

If you have another insurance other than BCBS, fear not! We still may be able to work together using what is known as a superbill or out-of-network billing. In a nutshell, you’d be responsible for the full fee upfront and I can provide an invoice for you to send to your insurance company. Most insurance companies will reimburse for services but it is usually not the full amount. I’m happy to answer more questions about this process.

What is your cancellation policy?

To cancel a scheduled session, a minimum of 24 hours in advance of your session is required. A late cancellation fee may be applied otherwise.

How do I get started?

Call, text or send me an email to set up a free 15-minute consultation. This will give me a chance to listen and learn about what is happening for you and ask a few questions. I can answer any questions you have and explain how therapy can help. Lastly, it’ll give you chance to see if you like talking to me. Really…a good match is important in therapy and I think it’s important for potential clients to see if talking to me feels like a good fit.

If the doesn’t feel right, feel free to tell me so. My feelings will recover. Or just say thanks, screen any calls from me, and never call back. Really. You don’t need to justify anything. I would much rather you’re able to move on and find a therapist that feels like a good fit; good therapy is the main oint!
